This is incredibly cute! I love how dynamic Batchibi's expressions are, how all over the place he feels.
It's hard to pinpoint a favorite, but I did really like the angle change in "Confident," making him look taller than he does in the other panels. I also liked that he looked unabashedly happy in "Triumph" rather than smug. The "!?" in "Shocked/Suprised" was a neat touch. Along with the martini glass in "Drunk." I can't see too well what he's saying, is it "Supes"? And the fact that his mask is pushed up slightly--eep, it just leaked adorability. The detail you managed to sneak into that without crowding the panel just amazes me.
That little heart in "Flirty" cracked me up, especially with his shoulder upturned like that. Sarcastic and Disgusted also made me laugh, with that flippant Riiight placed right next to that open expression of Bleh! (Taken together with Ill/Nauseous, I can almost imagine a mini-story right there.)
I liked the slump of his shoulders and ears in Irritated and WTF?! The star-eyes were cool in Angry, and I found it interesting that in Rage he appears to be talking, and that in Fierce he looks like hes fighting. With these emotions being so close to each other, I think its great you set them apart like that!
Ditto with Sad, Bereft, and Despondent/Pouty. He looks almost apologetic in the first, distant in the second, and is that a tear in the third? Poor Batchibi! Also, Confused and IncredulousI like how he fists his chin in the latter, as if hes actually deciding whether he should believe this or not. Fear was kind of odd to see on Batchibi, just because of his Batman-origin, but I liked how he has that hand raised. On that note, I love how you incorporate his whole body in this panels, not just his facial expressions. This is probably my favorite expressions challenge sheet, of all the ones Ive seen.
Crap--I knew I'd forget some if I commented out of order...
I liked that he’s grinning in “Happy” and just beaming in “leased.” I think they’re (heavily) amplified versions of what Batman actually does in both situations.
It’s a little hard to tell if it’s a smudge or my imagination, but I like how his eye has a dimmed pupil in “Tired.” I can’t read what he’s saying in “Silly,” but I thought it was cute how his eye-holes changed shape, and that he’s holding his cape out like that. “Serious” strongly reminded me of Batman, and I like how much more of the panel is taken up by his mask as opposed to the other expressions.
Have I mentioned I really loved these? (And, I'm sorry that I put you on watch without commenting on anything...I swear, I'm making a queue of things that I plan to comment on after school lets out.)
